MLS PREVIEW 1 Aug 2026: Miami favoured against the Crew on a 14-game MLS Saturday

Inter Miami host Columbus Crew, with the model giving the home side a 62% chance of victory. Miami come into it having won 1-0 at CF Montréal on 25 July and beaten Chicago 3-2 at home on 22 July, and their spring was rarely quiet: 5-3 at Cincinnati in May, then 6-4 against Philadelphia in the last match before the break. Columbus beat Cincinnati 2-1 at home on 25 July, having lost 2-1 at home to New York City FC on 22 July.

Vancouver host LAFC (model: Vancouver 54%). LAFC arrive on the better run: 3-0 at LA Galaxy on 18 July, then 3-1 against Real Salt Lake and 4-0 against Sporting Kansas City. Vancouver's restart has been quieter, a 4-3 defeat at Cincinnati on 22 July and a goalless draw at Minnesota on 26 July. Both did their heaviest damage before the summer break, Vancouver beating Minnesota 6-0 in March and winning 4-2 at San Diego in May, LAFC losing 4-1 at home to Houston in the same stretch.

Colorado host Austin FC, with the model favouring the Rapids at 61%. Rob Holding was sent off in the 12th minute of the 1-0 defeat at St. Louis City on 26 July, having also been sent off against St. Louis in the 50th minute of the meeting in Colorado on 10 May. Colorado had beaten San Diego 1-0 at home on 23 July. Austin come in off a 3-0 defeat at Houston on 26 July and a 3-1 win over Seattle at home on 23 July.

An hour later, Chicago host Charlotte (Chicago 54%), Minnesota face San Diego (Minnesota 48%), Kansas City host Houston (Houston favoured at 40%) and St. Louis host Salt Lake (St. Louis 53%). The evening closes with LA Galaxy hosting Dallas, where the model favours the visitors at 38%, and Portland hosting Seattle, rated an even 50%.
