Scottish Championship PREVIEW 7 Aug 2026: Partick Thistle host Livingston in early Championship test

Partick Thistle welcome Livingston on Friday evening with both sides arriving off opening-day wins. Thistle won 1-0 away at Greenock Morton, T. Letsosa settling it on 82 after bookings for E. Brophy on 51, H. Cochrane on 54 and G. Gillespie on 62 had told the story of the hosts' afternoon; Livingston beat Queen's Park 2-0 at home, R. Muirhead scoring on 50 and again on 77. The clubs' last meeting came in last month's Premier Sports Cup group stage, when Livingston and Partick drew 1-1 on 18 July, Livingston at home. Neither group turned on it.
