Hamilton Academical beat Alloa Athletic 1-0, C. Blues scoring on 27 minutes and then being booked on 53. It is a second win for Hamilton, who had won 5-0 at Montrose on the opening weekend through an S. McGinty own goal on 14, S. McKinstry on 23 and 79, S. Bannigan on 68 and S. Hendrie on 70. Alloa, who began the campaign with a goalless draw at home to East Fife, again failed to score; S. Hetherington and K. Glasgow were booked for the visitors, Hendrie for the home side.

Ross County followed their opening win with a second victory, beating Montrose 2-1. L. Strapp put them in front on 37, G. Oliver levelled from the penalty spot on 45, and B. Graham won it on 86 - the same B. Graham who had scored the only goal at Peterhead on the opening weekend. Montrose have lost both of their matches, 5-0 at home to Hamilton and now this.

Airdrieonians drew 1-1 at home with East Kilbride and are still waiting for a first win, having opened the season with a goalless draw away at Cove Rangers. S. Fagan put the visitors ahead on 65 and L. McLeish equalised from the penalty spot on 82. East Kilbride, who beat Queen of the South 5-1 on the opening weekend with two goals each for C. McGuffie and F. Gray, have not been beaten either.

Elsewhere, East Fife beat Cove Rangers 2-0 with two late goals, C. Dow on 80 and J. Fairley on 87, and Peterhead won 1-0 at Queen of the South through C. Smith's goal on 41. Queen of the South have lost both of their matches, this one following a 5-1 defeat away at East Kilbride.
