League Two opens with five fixtures, all kicking off together: Annan Athletic host Spartans, Clyde host Stranraer, Edinburgh City host Elgin, Forfar Athletic host Kelty Hearts and Stirling Albion host Dumbarton. With no league football behind either side, the League Cup group ties are the only form we hold.

Annan Athletic open at home to Spartans. Annan were beaten in each of their four group ties: 1-4 at home to Ross County, 0-5 at home to Dundee, 0-3 away at Airdrieonians and 1-4 away at Clyde. Spartans lost 1-2 at home to Arbroath and 1-3 at home to Stirling Albion, were beaten 4-0 away at Dundee United, then finished the group with a 2-0 win away at Montrose.

Edinburgh City host Elgin. City beat Alloa Athletic 2-0 at home and won 2-0 away at Stranraer, either side of a 0-5 home defeat by Falkirk and a 0-2 loss away at Ayr United. Elgin lost all four of theirs: 1-3 away at Raith Rovers, 1-3 at home to Peterhead, 0-1 at home to Kilmarnock and 0-5 away at Hamilton Academical.

Forfar Athletic host Kelty Hearts. Forfar closed their group with a 3-1 home win over Brechin City, after a 0-2 defeat away at Stenhousemuir, 0-4 at home to Partick Thistle and 0-8 away at Livingston. Kelty drew 1-1 away at Queen of the South, lost 0-2 at home to Queen's Park, beat Brora Rangers 3-2 at home and lost 3-0 away at Aberdeen.

Clyde host Stranraer. Clyde beat Airdrieonians 1-0 and Annan 4-1, both at home, and lost 1-3 away at Ross County and 0-4 away at Dundee. Stranraer took a single draw from their group, 2-2 away at Alloa Athletic, and lost 2-3 at home to Ayr United, 0-2 at home to Edinburgh City and 0-3 away at Falkirk.

Stirling Albion host Dumbarton. Stirling won 3-1 away at Spartans, and lost 0-1 at home to Dundee United, 0-2 at home to Montrose and 0-1 away at Arbroath. Dumbarton beat Cove Rangers 2-0 at home in their last group game, having lost 0-4 at home to St Mirren, 1-4 away at Dunfermline Athletic and 3-5 away at East Kilbride.
