Dumbarton host Clyde, the visitors coming in off an opening-day win at home to Stranraer and the hosts off a 2-0 defeat away at Stirling. The model gives Clyde the edge at 51%. Clyde had to come from behind to win that opener 3-1: R. Hughes put Stranraer in front on 25 minutes, an own goal levelled it on 31, and L. Lovering on 41 and N. Cannon on 45 turned the game round before the interval. Dumbarton were beaten at Stirling by two J. Allan goals, a penalty on 18 minutes and a second on 56.

Elgin host Forfar with both sides having won their opening fixture. Elgin’s win away at Edinburgh City finished 5-0, J. Murray on 25 minutes and L. Hyde on 28 setting it up, an own goal making it three on 31, and K. Girvan on 61 and J. MacIver on 89 finishing it off. Forfar won too, at home to Kelty Hearts, A. Mailer scoring the only goal on 15 minutes. Despite Elgin’s home advantage, the model gives Forfar a 39% chance of victory.

The Spartans host Edinburgh City off contrasting opening days: the Spartans won 4-2 away at Annan Athletic, while Edinburgh City were beaten 5-0 at home by Elgin. The Spartans’ win at Annan took some doing. C. Maxwell had scored on 21 and 49 minutes to put Annan 2-0 up before B. Walls pulled one back on 84, J. Craigen levelled on 88 and M. McNulty scored twice in the 90th minute, the first of them from the penalty spot.

Kelty Hearts host Stirling Albion having lost 1-0 away at Forfar on the opening day. Stirling won their opener at home to Dumbarton, J. Allan scoring both goals, the first a penalty on 18 minutes and the second on 56. The model narrowly favours Stirling at 48%.

Stranraer and Annan Athletic meet at Stranraer, neither having won on the opening day: Stranraer lost 3-1 away at Clyde, Annan 4-2 at home to the Spartans. Stranraer will feel they let one go, R. Hughes having given them the lead on 25 minutes before Clyde scored on 31, 41 and 45; Annan led 2-0 through C. Maxwell and did not score again. The model gives Annan a slight edge at 44%.
