UEFA Champions League REVIEW 11 Aug 2026: Hapoel Beer Sheva win 2-0 at Crvena Zvezda, extra time at Bodo/Glimt and Nijmegen

Hapoel Beer Sheva won 2-0 away at Crvena zvezda in the second leg of their Champions League third qualifying round tie, on top of a 1-0 win in the first leg at home through Z. Ahmed at 38'. In the return Crvena zvezda had D. Stankovic sent off at 57', I. Zlatanovic put Hapoel ahead at 61' and J. East made it 0-2 at 79'. Fenerbahce also won away from home, edging Sturm Graz 0-1 through a Talisca penalty at 66' after taking the first leg 2-0 at home, Talisca scoring at 9' and M. Greenwood at 45'.
Bodo/Glimt and Nijmegen both needed extra time to win their second legs, and both ties had been left level by their first legs: Royale Union SG 3-3 Bodo/Glimt, and Olympiacos Piraeus 0-0 Nijmegen. Bodo/Glimt went ahead at home through O. Blomberg at 51', Guilherme Smith levelled for Royale Union SG at 61', J. Hauge restored the Bodo/Glimt lead at 76' and M. Fuseini made it 2-2 at 88'. Royale Union SG then had K. Van De Perre sent off at 90', and A. Helmersen won it for Bodo/Glimt at 117' for a 3-2 finish. At Nijmegen, A. El Kaabi put Olympiacos Piraeus ahead at 46' and B. Linssen levelled at 70' before K. Fortounis was sent off at 80'; E. Mor scored at 95', in extra time, for a 2-1 Nijmegen win.
Levski Sofia won 1-0 away at Kairat Almaty, Reinaldo scoring at 13' after Serginho had won the first leg 1-0 at home with a goal at 90'. Elsewhere, Sabah Baku thrashed Aarhus 4-0 having lost the first leg 2-1 away; Slovan Bratislava beat Mjallby 2-0 after winning 2-1 at Mjallby; Celje saw off Ararat-Armenia 2-0 through Y. Dukuly at 83' and B. Verbic at 85', having lost the first leg 2-1 away; and Lyon defeated Sparta Prague 3-0 after losing the first leg 2-1 away. Din. Zagreb won 2-1 away at Kauno Zalgiris to go with a 5-0 win at home in the first leg.
