UEFA Conference League REVIEW 12 Aug 2026: Katowice win the night and still go out as Copenhagen rout Debrecen

GKS Katowice won the night and still went out. They beat Hapoel Tel Aviv 2-1 at home in the second leg of their Conference League third qualifying round tie, having lost the first leg 2-0 away, where S. Turiel scored at 5' and R. Alkoukin at 18'. Turiel put Hapoel in front again at 23' in the return, and Katowice were still 0-1 down on the night at the break. I. Shkurin equalised at 83' and Arkadiusz Jedrych converted a penalty at 90' to make it 2-1, but Katowice lost the tie 2-3 on aggregate.

FC Copenhagen had no such drama. Already 3-0 up from the first leg away at Debrecen, they led at home through M. Elyounoussi at 3', only for B. Dzsudzsak to level on the night at 47'. Copenhagen took over from there: Elyounoussi converted a penalty at 58', A. Kral made it 3-1 at 76', and A. Cornelius scored at 78' and again at 90', for a 5-1 win and an 8-1 aggregate.

SK Rapid had the most straightforward night of the three. Already 4-1 up from the first leg away at Paide, they won 2-0 at home, M. Tilio scoring at 38' and L. Schaub from the penalty spot at 82', for a 6-1 aggregate.
