UEFA Europa League PREVIEW 11 Aug 2026: Iberia 1999 host Larne with the tie still goalless

Iberia 1999 host Larne on Tuesday in the second leg of their Europa League third qualifying round tie, still goalless after the first leg at Larne on 4 August.

Both clubs are here having dropped out of the Champions League qualifying rounds on the same two dates. Larne beat Tre Fiori 1-0 away on 7 July and 2-1 at home on 14 July before being taken apart by Crvena Zvezda, losing 4-0 at home on 21 July and 5-0 away on 29 July. Iberia 1999 beat Flora 3-2 away on 8 July and drew 2-2 at home on 14 July, then lost 2-0 at home to Slovan Bratislava on 21 July and drew 1-1 away on 29 July.

The first leg gave nothing away. There were no goals in it, and the bookings were T. Cosgrove in the 11th minute and C. Gallagher on the stroke of half-time for Larne, J. Jinjolava in the 66th for Iberia. Neither side takes anything banked into the return.

So it is a straight knockout for a place in the play-off round, and neither side has yet found a goal in this tie.
