West Ham go into this one on three straight Championship wins, ten goals scored across them, the most recent a 3-2 win at Bolton in midweek. Nuno Espirito Santo's squad is close to fully fit: Tomas Soucek remains the only long-term absentee, though he could return within weeks, and Taty Castellanos is a doubt rather than a definite miss. "It's been a tight schedule, and things to assess," Nuno said of Castellanos. "We will do that, and then decide... It was a tendon. He felt some pain there, but he's improving."

Wrexham have taken five points from their last three: a 3-0 win at Millwall, then a goalless draw at Swansea and a 1-1 draw at home with Burnley. Four of their first six Championship games have been drawn, a start manager Phil Parkinson admits he is still trying to make sense of. The Burnley game cost them a defender: Wrexham fell behind to a Zeki Amdouni goal after twenty-six minutes and Jacques Ekomie equalised ten minutes into the second half, but Max Cleworth had already gone off injured on the half hour, and Parkinson has since confirmed a hamstring injury that will keep him out for eight weeks. Josh Windass took a knock to the calf in the same match and has been passed fit. Nathan Broadhead, Liberato Cacace and Ben Sheaf are still working back.
