Four from twelve for the model in League Two, a night the draws pulled apart — it backed the home side in eleven of the games and half of them ended level. The wildest was at Tranmere Rovers, whose home call looked good until stoppage time: Tranmere led Rotherham United through Zane Okoro and again through Tom Ince on 87, only for Bobby Faulkner's red-card foul to hand Tom Bradshaw a penalty and a 2-2 draw.

Its winning calls were the emphatic ones. Bristol Rovers beat Colchester United 2-0 through Tom James and substitute Ellis Harrison; Rochdale marked their return to the Football League with a 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town, Babajide Adeeko, Luke Hannant and substitute Jonny Smith scoring; Swindon Town came from behind to beat Port Vale 3-1, Aaron Drinan, Ben Middlemas and Louis Millard turning it after Oliver Lynch's early opener; and Cheltenham Town ended York City's unbeaten start 3-2, Charlie McCann winning it on 86 after a Jake Evans double.

The rest were draws and results the model missed, several late. Salford City beat Newport County 2-1 with a stoppage-time Kelly N'Mai winner; Accrington Stanley came from two down to draw 2-2 with Grimsby Town; Crewe Alexandra levelled against Walsall through a stoppage-time Reece Hutchinson goal; and Fleetwood Town were pegged back to 1-1 by Oldham Athletic through an 88th-minute Ronan Coughlan header.

Three more finished level and tight: Northampton Town drew 1-1 with Crawley Town despite playing an hour a man down, Chesterfield were held 1-1 by Gillingham, and Exeter City drew 1-1 with Barnet.
