Seven Premier League matches on Saturday and only one of them was decided before the last ten minutes. Ipswich Town won 3-2 at Crystal Palace with a goal in the ninetieth. Nottingham Forest won 2-1 at Aston Villa with one in the eighty-eighth. Arsenal needed until the seventh minute of stoppage time to make Sunderland safe.
Selhurst Park had the most of everything. Anan Khalaili put Crystal Palace ahead in the fourteenth minute, Emersonn levelled in the twenty-third, and Leif Davis turned it round for Ipswich Town on the stroke of half-time. Axel Disasi had been sent off in the thirty-fourth. Jørgen Strand Larsen made it 2-2 in the seventy-fifth and Zian Flemming won it in the ninetieth.
Sunderland held Arsenal for fifty-eight minutes before Bruno Guimarães scored, and held them at 0-1 until the end. Reinildo Mandava was sent off in the sixth minute of stoppage time and Bukayo Saka converted the penalty in the seventh.
Aston Villa were behind to Liam Delap within a minute of the restart, level through Alysson in the seventy-fourth, and beaten by Igor Jesus in the eighty-eighth. Nottingham Forest took it 2-1.
Chelsea twice had to come back. Morgan Rogers scored in the seventh minute, Mohamed Belloumi scored twice for Hull either side of the half-hour, and João Pedro made it 2-2 in the sixty-sixth. Bournemouth and Brentford drew 2-2 in much the same shape: Kevin Schade scored in the thirty-fourth, Justin Kluivert and Marcus Tavernier put Bournemouth in front, and Schade levelled again in the fifty-sixth.
Liverpool and Fulham drew 0-0. So did Tottenham Hotspur and Everton, and on a day when everything else turned in the last quarter of an hour, Spurs and Everton went nowhere at all.
