Scottish Championship PREVIEW 11 Sep 2026: Livingston Arrive At Cappielow Under Interim Management, Morton Still Without A Win

Morton are bottom of the Championship with a point from five matches, and have scored three goals all season. Livingston are fifth, which flatters a month that ended with their head coach losing his job. The match was moved off Saturday because BBC Scotland wanted it.

Livingston sacked head coach Glenn Whelan after nine games in charge, sporting director David Martindale returning to the dugout on a temporary basis alongside Frankie McAvoy. Whelan left with the club fifth, two wins and three defeats. Their most recent outing was a home defeat: Stenhousemuir won 1-0 at the Set Fare Arena, Andrew Shinnie scoring after fourteen minutes.

Morton have lost four of their five league matches and drawn the other, and have not scored more than once in any of them. Ian Murray's side arrived in the league with nothing from the League Cup group stage either, losing all four games without scoring. Queen's Park beat them 2-1 last time out.
