Scottish League One REVIEW 29 Aug 2026: Ross County score four against East Kilbride; Oliver's penalty settles Montrose

Ross County beat East Kilbride 4-0 and scored three of the four in a six-minute spell around half time. Graham opened it on 45 minutes, McCarvel made it two on 48 and Lindsay three on 51, and Graham scored his second on 72. Nothing that happened before the interval suggested the afternoon would turn that quickly.

Montrose 2-1 Queen of the South was the closest thing to a contest. Oliver scored inside three minutes, Clark levelled three minutes into the second half, and Oliver settled it from the penalty spot on 54. Two of the three goals came from the same player and the match was decided inside an hour.

Hamilton Academical won 1-0 against Cove Rangers on a goal from Ryan on 15 minutes, and defended it for the remaining seventy-five. Alloa Athletic and Peterhead drew 1-1, Marchant scoring on the stroke of half time and Ross replying on 55.

Airdrieonians and East Fife finished goalless, the only fixture of the five that produced nothing.

Eleven goals across five matches, seven of them in two of them. County have the result of the round by some distance.
