Two from four for the model, and the two it got were the away days. It backed Celtic to win at St Mirren and they did, 1-2: Nikolas Agrafiotis put St Mirren ahead from the penalty spot in the 22nd, before Liam Scales headed Celtic level from a corner in the 51st and Yang Hyun-Jun won it in the 68th from the middle of the box. Celtic thought they had a third in stoppage time through substitute Shumaira Mheuka, only for VAR to rule it out.

The other call that landed was Rangers, backed at home and 1-0 winners over Motherwell through substitute Ryan Naderi — on in the 8th minute, scoring in the 12th after seizing on a goalkeeping error. Minsu Kim dragged a Motherwell penalty wide on the half-hour, and the win came at a cost, Rangers losing Lawrence Shankland — the man Naderi replaced — to what looked a serious hamstring injury.

The two misses were both draws the model did not see. Dundee United, fancied at home, were held 1-1 by Falkirk: Jacob Murrell struck inside four minutes and the lead lasted until Michael Forbes equalised in the third minute of stoppage time, United handing a debut to the Rangers loan signing Lyall Cameron. And Aberdeen, another home pick, drew 0-0 with Kilmarnock — Tony Yogane hit a post, Marius Muller kept Kilmarnock level with a string of saves, and the visitors saw it out a man down after Aaron Tshibola's two bookings, the second in the 82nd.
