The club
The name the football feed uses, "Caramba/Dinamo Riga", is the club's original one. Riga FC were registered in April 2014 and formed ahead of the 2015 season by the merger of two Riga clubs, FC Caramba and Dinamo Riga. They entered the Latvian First League as FC Caramba/Dinamo and took the name Riga FC on promotion. UEFA and several data feeds still carry the merged form, which is why the fixture list says one thing and the club's own website says another. Everything below refers to the same club.

The recent European results worth having to hand are the 4-0 win after extra time over Vardar at Skonto on 28 July 2026, the 3-2 win in Skopje six days earlier that set it up, and the 3-2 home win over Ararat-Armenia on 14 July 2026 that was not quite enough to overturn a 2-0 first-leg deficit.

That dropped them into the Conference League Champions Path at the second qualifying round, where they beat Vardar of North Macedonia 3-2 away on 22 July 2026 and 4-0 after extra time at Skonto on 28 July, 7-2 on aggregate. A tie that looked comfortable after the first leg was not: extra time was needed at Skonto before the margin opened up.

The European tie they are in now is the Conference League third qualifying round, Champions Path, against ETO FC Gyor of Hungary, the Hungarian champions who had dropped out of the Champions League. Riga won the first leg 1-0 at the Skonto Stadium on 6 August 2026. The goal came inside three minutes and was an own goal by Balint Selyem, turned in after a Riga move down the right.
