Dinamo Minsk were founded on 18 June 1927 as part of the Soviet Dynamo sports society. The name has moved about: Dinamo Minsk until 1954, then Spartak Minsk, then Belarus Minsk from 1959, and back to Dinamo Minsk in 1962. They play at the Dinamo Stadium in Minsk, capacity 22,000.
