East Fife
The club
East Fife were founded in 1903 and play at Bayview Stadium in Methil, on the Fife coast, a ground with a capacity of 1,980 that replaced the old Bayview Park in 1998. They are known as the Fifers, and also as Methil Milan, and play in black and white.
Recent seasons
The last six years have been spent in the bottom two divisions. East Fife finished sixth in League One in 2020/21 with 33 points from a Covid-shortened 22 games. The following season was a disaster: bottom of League One in 2021/22 with 23 points, including a twelve-match winless run and a seven-game losing streak, and relegation to League Two. They were fourth in League Two in 2022/23 with 50 points and fifth in 2023/24 with 44, neither good enough for the play-offs. The breakthrough came in 2024/25, when they finished second with 65 points from 20 wins and a goal difference of plus 28, one point behind champions Peterhead, and went up automatically. Alan Trouten scored 22 goals that season and Nathan Austin 13. The return to League One in 2025/26 was hard work: eighth of ten with 36 points, nine wins and 18 defeats, and a goal difference of minus 27, the second worst in the division.
Honours and landmarks
East Fife won the Scottish Cup in 1937/38, the club's one national trophy of that rank. They have won the League Cup three times, in 1947/48, 1949/50 and 1953/54, a run of success in the decade after the war that no club of their size has matched since. They were Division Two champions in 1947/48 and have won the fourth tier twice, the Third Division in 2007/08 and League Two in 2015/16.
Record attendance is 22,515 against Raith Rovers in 1950, a figure that says something about how big the Fife derby once was relative to the town. The 1947/48 side scored 139 goals in all competitions. The club's most-capped player is Arnold Dwarika, with 73 caps for Trinidad and Tobago.
Notable scorelines
Record victory: 13-2 at home to Edinburgh City on 11 December 1937, in Division Two. That was the original Edinburgh City club, which existed from 1928 to 1955 and is not the same club as the Edinburgh City now in League Two, though East Fife also beat that club's predecessor 7-0 away on 12 September 1931. Record defeat: 0-9 away to Heart of Midlothian on 5 October 1957. East Fife also won 8-2 away to Brechin City in the League Cup on 26 August 1961.

Dick Campbell is the manager, in his second spell at the club, having returned during the 2023/24 season. Fitbastats credits him with 113 games across the two tenures, 48 wins, 21 draws and 43 defeats. His exact date of appointment could not be established.

East Fife had a strong Premier Sports Cup and still went out. In Group F they drew 1-1 away to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on 11 July and lost the shootout 5-3, beat Greenock Morton 2-0 at home on 14 July, beat Linlithgow Rose 3-1 at home on 21 July, then drew 1-1 at St Johnstone on 25 July and won that shootout 5-4. Nine points was second in the group behind Inverness on 11, and not enough to go through as a best runner-up. Beating a Premiership side, even on penalties, is the result to remember from it.
