ETO FC Győr
Also written as ETO FC Gyor, Gyor, Gyori ETO.
The club
Egyetértés Torna Osztály Futball Club, universally ETO, were founded in 1904 in Győr in north-west Hungary as Győri Vagongyár ETO, the works team of the railway carriage factory. The club has carried many names since, including Győri Vasas and Rába ETO. They play at ETO Park, opened in 2008 to replace the old Stadion ETO, with a capacity of 15,600, expandable to 30,000; the complex includes four practice pitches and a hotel, and it has hosted Hungary internationals. The colours are green and white. The owner is Bálint Világi; the 2026-27 season article names Oszkár Világi as owner.
The feed calls them "Gyori ETO". The club writes itself as ETO FC, and Hungarian and UEFA usage is ETO Győr or Győri ETO.
Recent seasons
ETO reached the top flight in 1937 and won the league in 1963, 1981-82 and 1982-83. A collapse in the 2010s took them to the third tier in 2015. They won NB III in 2016-17, spent seven seasons in NB II, finished second in 2023-24 and came back up.
In their first season back, 2024-25, they finished fourth. In 2025-26 they won the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, their fifth title, with 69 points from 33 matches, 20 wins, 9 draws and 4 defeats, 65 goals scored and 30 conceded, ahead of Ferencváros. The title was confirmed at Kisvárda on 16 May 2026.
The 2026-27 season began on 26 July 2026. After the round-three fixtures of 9 August, ETO had played two matches, a 2-2 draw away and a 4-0 home win over Nyíregyháza on 2 August, and stood fourth with 4 points and a game in hand.
