FC Hegelmann
Also written as Hegelmann.
The club
Futbolo klubas Hegelmann were founded in January 2009 in Raudondvarys, in the Kaunas district of Lithuania, and are sponsored by and named for Hegelmann Transporte, a German-owned freight and logistics company. The club played at the NFA Stadium, a 500-seat ground, before moving to the newly built Raudondvaris Stadium, capacity 1,550, in September 2024. The club was known as FC Hegelmann Litauen until January 2022, when it dropped the word "Litauen" from its name; the feed in this corpus still uses the old form. The manager is the Spaniard Mikel Aramburu, appointed on 16 January 2026. The home kit is white and blue, the away kit dark blue.
Hegelmann is not Kauno Žalgiris, the other senior club based in the city of Kaunas itself, nor is it Žalgiris Vilnius, the Lithuanian capital's leading club, both of which are also covered in this corpus and share no connection with Hegelmann beyond being fellow A Lyga sides from the same small country.
Recent seasons
Hegelmann reached the A Lyga, Lithuania's top division, in 2021 and have never been relegated from it since, a rapid rise for a club founded only in 2009 and Lithuanian second-tier champions as recently as 2018. They finished fifth in 2021, fourth in 2022, fifth in 2023, then second in both 2024 and 2025, their best finishes to date. Exact points totals for those seasons and the identity of the champions who finished above them were not established from the sources read here.
Honours and landmarks
Hegelmann have not won the A Lyga; their best finish is runner-up, achieved in 2024 and 2025. They have finished runners-up in the Lithuanian Cup three times, in 2022, 2024 and 2025, without yet winning it.
