Peterhead
The club
Peterhead were founded in 1891 and play at Balmoor Stadium in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. Balmoor holds 3,150, of which about 1,000 are seated. The club are the Blue Toon, after the town, and play in blue. They spent most of their history in the Highland League and were granted Scottish Football League status in 2000, when the SPL expanded to twelve clubs and left two places to fill.
Recent seasons
The sources read establish only the two most recent campaigns in detail. Peterhead won League Two in 2024/25 and went up. Their first season back in the third tier, 2025/26, ended fifth of ten in League One with 43 points from 36 games, 12 wins, seven draws and 17 defeats, 48 goals scored and 64 conceded, outside the four play-off places in a division won by Inverness Caledonian Thistle on 69 points with Stenhousemuir second on 67. Peterhead have won League Two three times, in 2013/14, 2018/19 and 2024/25, so all three of the club's SPFL titles have come in the fourth tier. No published all-time head-to-head records against 2026/27 League One opponents were found; Peterhead do not carry them on their own site in a form the sources read reached. The one established recent meeting with a club they will face is not a league opponent at all: Raith Rovers, now a Championship side, beat Peterhead 1-0 at Stark's Park in the Premier Sports Cup on 21 July 2026. Ross County, relegated from the Championship, are the opening-day visitors to Balmoor and no record between the clubs was established. Defenders Benny-Jackson Luyeyle and Tobias Davies-Browne joined on 14 July 2026, and a further arrival announced on 8 July was welcomed only by first name, Robel, in the club's headline.
