FK RFS, Rigas Futbola skola, were established in 2016. The sources read here also record a predecessor, FSK Daugava 90, founded on 19 May 2005. They play at LNK Sporta Parks in Riga, a ground holding 2,300, in use since the middle of 2022; before that the club played at the Janis Skredelis Stadium. Home colours are blue, away white. No nickname was documented in the sources read here.
This is a very young club with a very small ground that has been in a UEFA league phase, and both of those facts are worth keeping in view at the same time.
Recent seasons
RFS won the Latvian Higher League in 2021, 2023 and 2024. In 2025 they were runners-up, with Riga FC champions and Liepaja third.

The eight results are: RFS 1-0 Ajax at home, Adam Markhiyev scoring late for a first win over a club of that size; RFS 2-2 Galatasaray at home; RFS 1-1 Anderlecht at home; RFS 0-1 Eintracht Frankfurt away; RFS 0-2 PAOK away; RFS 1-2 Maccabi Tel Aviv away; RFS 0-1 Dynamo Kyiv away; and RFS 1-4 FCSB away. The order in which those matchdays fell was not confirmed from the sources read here, so the sequence above should not be treated as chronological, and no date for the Ajax match was established. Beating Ajax in Riga is the result the club is known for.
The 2026/27 campaign has been a good one so far. In the Conference League first qualifying round RFS beat Glentoran 2-1 at The Oval on 9 July 2026, both goals from Kigurs on 45 and 70 minutes after Rossi had put Glentoran ahead on 38, then won 2-0 in Riga on 16 July through Saidy on 5 and Janis Ikaunieks on 61, going through 4-1. In the second round they beat Vestri of Iceland 4-1 at LNK Sporta Parks on 23 July, with goals from Panic on 18, Ikaunieks on 23, Ndjiki on 43 and Darko Lemajic on 66, and drew 1-1 at Valbjarnarvollur in Reykjavik on 30 July, Sylla scoring on 16 minutes after Hafthorsson had opened on 12. That was 5-2 on aggregate.
