Eastleigh

The club

Eastleigh Football Club are a National League club from Eastleigh, Hampshire, nicknamed the Spitfires. The club is not Southampton, the Football League club in the same county, and is not any similarly named side elsewhere. Wikipedia says it was formed on 22 May 1946 at the Fleming Arms pub in Swaythling, Southampton, by Derik Brooks and friends as Swaythling Athletic, became Swaythling in 1977 and Eastleigh in 1980. The nickname was chosen by a supporter in a 2005 fan competition. They have played at Ten Acres (the Silverlake Stadium) since 1957, capacity 5,192 (2,700 seated). Colours are blue and white.

The infobox names Matt Gray as manager, but the managers table ends with Scott Bartlett (24 September 2025 to 21 February 2026) and the staff list names Richard Hill as interim manager, so the page is inconsistent and who is in charge now was not established from the sources read here.

Right now (2026-27 season)

Eastleigh play in the National League, the fifth tier; Wikipedia dates its squad list 5 November 2026 but gives no 2026-27 results, standings or manager confirmation, so those were not established from the sources read here. In the FA Cup first round proper they are drawn against Shrewsbury Town, a League One side, on Saturday 7 November 2026. A fan-site draw list has Eastleigh at home; Wikipedia's 2026-27 FA Cup page names Ten Acres as the venue at 15:00, though it also describes the tie as hosted by Shrewsbury, so the ground was not firmly established. Their qualifying-round path was not established from the sources read here.
