Oxford City
The club
Oxford City Football Club are a semi-professional club from Marston, Oxford, England, nicknamed the Hoops. The club is not Oxford United, a separate Football League club in the same city, and is not any Oxford City side from another country. Wikipedia gives a founding year of 1882, with the first recorded match a 4-2 defeat at Thame Grammar School on 15 March 1884. The club was reorganised in 1897 and became Oxfordshire's leading side, won the FA Amateur Cup in 1906 and joined the Isthmian League the following year. After a mid-century decline they were evicted from the White House Ground in 1988 and resigned from the Isthmian League.
They played at the White House Ground from 1900 to 1988, at Cutteslowe Park from 1990 to 1993, and at Marsh Lane, known as the MGroup Stadium, since 1993, with a capacity of 3,100. One match listing for the 2026-27 FA Cup tie names the ground the RAW Charging Stadium and another gives Court Place Farm; which name is current was not established from the sources read here. The club's playing colours were not established from the sources read here.
Ross Jenkins is listed as the manager on Wikipedia, which gives no start date. Justin Merritt managed the club in 2006 to 2009 and again from 2014, Mike Ford from 2009 to 2013 and Mark Jones from 2016 to 2019. The fan-site results page read for 2026-27 did not name a manager, so Jenkins still being in charge was not independently confirmed.
Recent seasons
