Four Scottish Championship fixtures today, and the model's clearest read of the lot is at Ochilview, where Stenhousemuir are made strong favourites at home to Arbroath. At the other end of the day's card sits the meeting our numbers cannot separate at all: Partick Thistle hosting Raith Rovers at Firhill splits almost evenly three ways, with barely anything between a home win, an away win and a draw.

Marvin Bartley's Stenhousemuir arrive on the back of a 1-0 win at Partick Thistle, settled by a Hamzad Kargbo header seven minutes from time after the summer signing had come on as a substitute; it was Kargbo's first goal for the club, less than a fortnight after joining. Bartley was named the Championship's Manager of the Month for August, and midfielder Lewis O'Donnell its Player of the Month for the same spell. Arbroath, by contrast, go into the game having been beaten 4-0 away to Raith Rovers, a match in which defender Charlie Dewar was sent off in the first half for hauling down George Oakley when the forward was clean through, leaving David Gold's side to play out the rest of the game with ten men.

That Raith win over Arbroath is also the form line Dougie Imrie's side carry into Firhill. George Oakley scored twice inside the first quarter of an hour for his first goals for the club, Jai Rowe added a third from distance and Dylan Easton converted a penalty in a comfortable afternoon. Partick Thistle, unbeaten at home in the league since April 2025, come into the fixture off their own 1-0 win, over Ayr United, Seb Drozd scoring after the visiting goalkeeper spilled a corner; centre-back Lee Ashcroft returned to the matchday squad that day for the first time since picking up an injury back in July. Manager Mark Wilson has defended his side's finishing this season, saying: "At the front end, although we've not been in blistering goalscoring form, we've still got really good options... our numbers are up remarkably from last year... I truly believe it'll click and we will get what we deserve." Attacking midfielder Euan Henderson is back from injury and available again for Thistle.

Livingston host Inverness Caledonian Thistle off the back of their own convincing win, 4-1 away at Greenock Morton, with Jordan Doherty among the scorers and named in the SPFL Team of the Week for a display that also included solid defensive work; the club has pointed to Emmanuel Danso's midfield control as central to the performance. Inverness travel south on the back of a 3-1 win of their own, away at Ayr United, but their recent games have leaked goals at the other end and they have not kept a clean sheet in five matches. Scott Kellacher's side have strengthened up front in the meantime, adding striker Junior Osong, who came through Nottingham Forest's academy, on a one-year deal, and taking Liverpool academy forward Layton Stewart on loan for the rest of the season, while sending teenage striker Miller Keir out to Cove Rangers on loan until January.

The day's tightest model call after Firhill belongs to Cappielow, where Greenock Morton host Dunfermline Athletic. Morton were beaten 4-1 at home by that same rampant Livingston side in their last outing and have moved to strengthen since, signing striker Zach Robinson on a short-term deal and sending Bobby McLuckie out on loan to Peterhead. Dunfermline arrive on better form, having won 2-0 away at Queen's Park under Neil Lennon, and the model gives Ian Murray's side the harder afternoon of the two home sides on Scottish Championship duty today.
